2020-2021 WINTER YOUTH TURF LEAGUE (Jan – Mar 13)

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:   Per Governor Murphy as of 2/12/21:

* “Schools & other operators may choose to allow up to 2 parents/guardians per participating athlete under the age 21 to attend practices & competitions, as long as attendance does not cause the indoor events to exceed the 35% of the room’s capacity or 150 people total.

*  DUE TO THE CAPACITY LIMITATIONS IN PLACE, WE (TOTAL TURF, DSA 7v7 TURF LEAGUE) WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ALLOW SPECTATORS TO ATTEND THE DSA 7v7 TURF LEAGUE GAMES.  IF WE PERMITTED SPECTATORS, IT WOULD PUT THE FACILITY WELL OVER 150 PEOPLE CAPACITY.  PUBLIC HEALTH SAFETY & ADHERING TO THE GUIDELINES ARE THE PRIORITY OF OUR LEAGUE & FACILITY. 

*  THE PREVIOUS NO SPECTATOR & COVID PROCEDURES WILL REMAIN IN PLACE FOR THE DURATION OF THE LEAGUE, UNLESS THERE IS A NEW EXECUTIVE ORDER THAT PERMITS A LARGER CAPACITY OF PEOPLE.

  • What: Games will be played on turf field 7 vs 7.  Teams will play six field players plus a goalie.
  • Length:  8 weeks – 8 games per team (No playoffs) (Teams will have BYE weekends)
  • When: Saturdays (If there are facility or weather conflicts, we may have to reschedule games on other days)  (March 13 makeup games)
  • League Dates: JAN 2; 16;  23;  30  FEB  6;  13;  20;  27  MAR  6;  13 (overflow)
  • Notes:  No games Jan 9 due to conflict.
  • Registration Deadline:  December 27th, 2020 (updated)
  • Brackets Released:  December 27th, 2020
  • Schedule Released:  December 28th – 29th, 2020
  • League Fee:  ONLY $1050 per team (Plus $15 per game for ref fees (U8-U14) / $20 per game for (2) ref fees (U15-U19)  (There is a 4% surcharge fee for credit card payments).

GENERAL LEAGUE INFO

  •         Games will be 40 minutes long. (2 X 20 min halves)
  •         There is an 18 player limit to your roster size.
  •         2 Minute halftime (These will be shortened if games fall behind schedule)
  •         No timeouts
  •         Home Teams are required to supply the game ball. (U13 ages and above use Size 5/ U12 ages and below use Size 4)
  •         Each team will need to have team uniforms.  ALL players must the same color.
  •         If teams have the same color, Home team must change jerseys or wear pinnie.
  •         Age groups / Divisions will be based off of the new US mandated birth year changes.
  •         Field size is 110′ x 160′
  • League games run from 8am to 11pm.  Younger ages start at 8am.  U12/13/14 ages in the late afternoon/ late evening.  HS ages late afternoon/evening.
  • * League will close registration when it reaches full capacity, so please do not wait until last minute to register.

  • *Teams not paid in full by the 1st game of the season will be subject to be removed from the league. Our league reserves the right to move games to another night if necessary to accommodate an overflow of teams
