Latin sisters that are american U.S. ‘build bridges’ during ‘challenging time’
CHICAGO (CNS) — Thirty-four Latin American siblings that are being employed as missionaries in poor Latino communities in the us recently collected for a retreat that is 10-day conference in Chicago.
They certainly were accompanied by their mom superiors and, for a lifetime career retreat throughout the last week-end, by 20 young Latinas interested in mastering more about spiritual life.
Doing work in underserved areas in 12 dioceses, the Mexican, Puerto Rican, Colombian, Venezuelan, Guatemalan, Salvadoran and Honduran siblings result from 12 religious purchases and are also an element of the U.S. -Latin United states Sisters Exchange Program. Catholic Extension partnered aided by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation to generate this system.
The Latin American siblings get in touch with and minister with Spanish-speaking immigrant families, supplying leadership in spiritual training, migrant farmworker outreach, home visitations, youth and young adult ministry, religious guidance, vocations advertising as well as other ministries.
